Forestry Commission and Essex Wildlife Trust Wood. Spring flowers.

Evening visit to Stansteadbury Farm.

A great opportunity to see how a commercial farm can also be managed for wildlife.

6:30 PM TL  4014311080 .The site is private and the entrance is hazardous. Essential to contact the leader for details if intending to come.

Evening walk along the River Ash and Sidehill Wood. Much Hadham.

Meet Much Hadham church TL4295819648.  6:30 PM.

Saturday 20th May. Fulbourn Nature Reserve and Fleam Dyke for butterflies.

The Annual Big Forest Bird Watch.

Meet at the main entrance at 7:30 AM. Please let us know if you are planning to attend and help to continue this valuable study.

Hatfield Forest for Bats and Glowworms.

Meet main entrance 8 PM. Please bring a torch and insect repellent.

Walk along the Flitch Way. Park at Kearsley Airways

Pond dipping at Stansteadbury Farm.

TL 4014311080 .We have been invited to assess the beneficial effects of the River restoration work carried out on the backwater by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.

Meet 2:30 PM at the farm.

August 26th.

River Walk along the River Lea from Stansted Abbots.

Park in the main car park at Stansted Abbots 11.00am.

We shall follow the circular walk to RSPB Rye Meads. Bring a picnic lunch.

September 9th and 10th.

Hatfield Forest Wood Fest.

Please volunteer to come and man our stand to publicise Forest Nature as well as help out with a children's wildlife activity.

Small mammal trapping at Hatfield Forest.

Meet at 6:30 PM Friday main car park to set traps, return 9 AM Saturday to check catch.
